Giving in someone's memory
A memorial can carry a link to a charity or a giving page, so people can give something instead of flowers. We don't handle the money. Every link takes people straight to the charity, or to the site running the collection.
What we accept
You can link to most well-known charities, and to the giving sites families are usually pointed to. That includes GoFundMe, JustGiving and GlobalGiving, and charities such as the Red Cross, UNICEF, Médecins Sans Frontières and WWF. The list runs well beyond these, and covers charities in many countries.
Why the list is limited
We keep to a set list of sites rather than accepting any link at all. It means a memorial can't be used to advertise, or to collect money for something that has nothing to do with the person it remembers.
Being on the list means we recognise the site as a well-known charity or giving platform. It isn't a guarantee. We can't see what happens once you leave us, and when you give, you're giving on that site under its terms, not ours. If a link on a memorial looks wrong to you, tell us and we'll look into it.
Ask us to add a charity or site
If the charity you want isn't accepted, tell us. Families can ask us to add the one their memorial needs, and we'll email you once the link will work. Charities and giving sites can ask to be added for everyone.
We check each site before we accept it, so it takes a little time. We'll come back to you either way.
