Rufus
Dog · 2012 – 2024
A scruffy border terrier who lived for the walk and the wide outdoors. Remembered for muddy fields, the lead by the door, and twelve years of the truest company.
Mabel
Cat · 2007 – 2024
A tabby of seventeen years who kept the house to a schedule of her own. A lap cat only when she chose, and all the more loved for it.
Willow
Pony · 1999 – 2023
A Welsh pony who taught a whole family to ride over twenty years at the yard. Honest, kind, and occasionally very stubborn about puddles.
Pip
Rabbit · 2020 – 2024
A little girl's first pet, and a first goodbye. A gentle brown rabbit who taught small hands to be gentle, and did his happy dance on the lawn every summer evening.
Sunny
Budgie · 2015 – 2024
A yellow budgie who filled a quiet house with song and chatter for nine noisy years. He said his own name with great pride, and the silence since is the hardest part.
